Love and Leadership

At Wood & Huston Bank, our leadership philosophy is woven throughout everything we do to help make dreams come true. It starts with our newest hires during New Hire Orientation. They become immersed in LEAP which is our leadership philosophy based on the book, “The Radical Leap” by leadership expert, Steve Farber. Leaders who live LEAP every single day Cultivate LOVE, Generate ENERGY, Inspire AUDACITY, and Provide PROOF that what they do really matters to the success of our Bank. You see, here at Wood & Huston, we see ALL of our employees as leaders. You are given permission on Day 1 to share ideas, and to be an active part of our unique and special culture through committee membership and paid participation in community events throughout the year.

Several employees are invited to join our Leadership Accelerator Program designed by the Extreme Leadership Institute to help foster a stronger sense of who you are as a leader and gives members the opportunity to design a “Change the World” project. Other leadership opportunities include the Graduate School of Banking for lenders, managers, and HR professionals, Supervisor Training, LEAP Refreshers throughout the year for all employees and our unique C.O.P.S. program (Career Opportunities and Position Shadowing) that allows any employee the chance to take an active part in their own career development.
